“Papa Mochi No More” Trends After James Corden Gets Cancelled By BTS ARMY; Here’s Why

[ad_1]

You don’t mess with BTS and BTS’ ARMY. And James Corden has learned it the hard way! If you’re not the know, the ‘The Late Late Show’ host is getting cancelled on social media as fans demand he remove ‘Papa Mochi’ from his bio. Why? Because Corden who has often supported the septet and has invited them on to his show had to lot to say about BTS’ recent UN visit. The group visited the UN General Assembly as the Special Presidential Envoy for Future Generations and Culture to deliver an inspirational message that highlighted Covid-19, climate change while also focusing on U.N. goals (gender equality, preserving the planet and ending poverty). Obviously, a performance was involved and it gave fans all over the world Permission to Dance.

And while the importance of the feat wasn’t lost on the ARMY, Corden’s reaction to the whole episode has left them infuriated. In fact, in a now-deleted video, the British talk show host can be heard calling the band of boys ‘unusual’ guests and even referred to the ARMY as a bunch of 15-year-old-girls.

Yes, it is reductive, to say the least. Also, why is the music taste of 15-year-old-grils always up for debates. Also+Also, I’m 30 years old and a fan, so I don’t see it but try if you can here.

Needless to say, the ARMY has decided to strip Corden of his ‘Papa Mochi’ title that Jimin used to call him. They are also calling out the ‘fake love’ that unfortunately won’t cut anymore.

This isn’t the first time that the AMRY has reprimanded naysayers and take a stand for their favorite idols. Earlier, a Spanish podcast made racist and xenophobic comments about the boys, calling BTS the ‘Chinese Backstreet Boys’. Not just that; the group of hosts also mocked their appearance and claimed that they’ve had surgeries done to look the way they look, just to amass female fan-following! It obviously didn’t end well and hopefully, James Corden and his PR firm can make amends before it’s too late.
